Adult Auditions

Auditioning contemporary, hip hop, and tap dancers for an upcoming international tour.  Men must be able to commit to a rigorous rehearsal schedule, posses a US passport, and be able to leave the country for 7-12 days in August 2013.

Must bring a head shot and resume, and valid US passport REQUIRED, to audition.

Registration

Capitol Movement Dance Company dancers train in and perform jazz, contemporary, hip hop, modern, and/or tap. Auditions for ladies will be offered by invitation only in the fall of 2013. If you are interested in auditioning for the Capitol Movement Dance Company and are above the age of 18, please contact Amber Yancey at amber@capitolmovement.org.

Auditions for the Capitol Movement Dance Company are held in the fall every year. Separate auditions are offered for jazz/contemporary/ modern/ballet dancers and for hip hop dancers/bboys/bgirls. Once in the company, dancers are required to attend two monthly classes at Capitol Movement Studio and rehearse on weekends to prepare for the Capitol Movement Project and special external guest performances.

Cast members performed during the 8th Annual Capitol Movement Project on March 23, 2013 at the Historic Lincoln Theatre and a dozen Company members recently returned from an overseas "Freedom Tour" with Armed Forces Entertainment. Next up, sizzle through summer with Company members and studio faculty at weekly classes, workshops, conventions, and more! Company members are:
