The Capitol Movement Dance Company is a diverse and vibrant repertory group that provides a platform for local and international choreographers to showcase their innovative work and elevate the quality and integrity of cultural jazz and hip hop dance in Washington D.C. It is our mission to build better lives in D.C. by providing a traveling classroom for schools and community partners in need of arts education programming and by making it possible for all residents of the District of Columbia to participate in and patronize the arts FREE of charge.

Capitol Movement is a 501c3 nonprofit based in our Nation's Capital and has three primary objectives: 1) ensure excellence in its professional performance company, 2) develop the next generation of dancers through its Capitol Movement Studio, youth programs, outreach classes, and scholarship opportunities, and 3) serve the communities of the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
