CMI Kidz The CMI Kidz program has been in existence for seven years. It is continually expanding and evolving. The program began with performers on the Juniors Wizards Dance Team, later adding the Mystic Mayhem Dance Team, and most recently receiving numerous invitations to perform at events. Our CMI Kidz are able to learn from experienced and talented choreographers such as Derrick Butler (CMI Hip Hop Director), Marcellus Boreland, and Chris “Skipp” Williams. All of the choreographers are Capitol Movement, Inc. faculty and teachers, which gives CMI Kidz the ability to grow quite easily into our Pre-Professional Company, Adult Company, and beyond.

Participation Requirements and Fees This program runs 6 months out of the year, November through April. The $350 participation fee covers the full six months of the program, including: • Weekly Friday Kidz Hip Hop classes from 6-7 pm (at Results, Capitol Hill) • Weekly Friday rehearsals from 7-8 pm (at Results, Capitol Hill) • Performance opportunities and training with highly qualified dance instructors *$175 costume fee once on the team.

Auditions CMI Kidz auditions took place in January 2012 and dancers are working hard to prepare for performances at the Verizon Center. We are pleased to welcome the CMI Kidz for 2012: Welcoming Our Newest CMI Kidz Aniya, Ashara, Avery, Brelyn, Charmece, Cheyenne, Danielle, Devin, Devon, Diamond, Drew, Iyana, Janae, J'motti, Journey, Kadijah, Kindalin, Lauryn, Makiya, Miriam, Reginald, Shaniqwa, Simone, Skylar, Zayne Dancers take Friday Kidz Hip Hop classes from 6-7 pm in order to train and continue to improve their technique.  Classes are followed by rehearsals from 7-8 pm, where dancers prepare for future performances. *Auditions for the 2012-2013 season will be scheduled for September/October 2012.
